Pendampingan Kreativitas Santri dengan Tali Kur pada Panti Asuhan & Pondok Pesantren Bina Insani Binaan Rizqun Minallah (RizMina)

Abstract

The objectives of this Community Service (PKM) activity are to enhance the creativity of students through training in skills using kur rope, providing an understanding of how to become entrepreneurs through training, utilizing free time to produce handicrafts, and providing ongoing skills training mentoring. The target group was both resident and non-resident students at the Bina Insani Orphanage and Islamic Boarding School under the guidance of RizMina. Thirty-five participants participated, consisting of 24 out of 36 student representatives and 11 students from the Off-Campus Learning (PLK) program at UNY. The method used in this activity was lecture and discussion. The training began with a presentation of entrepreneurship material, an introduction to kur rope, and practical sessions. The stages included preparation, implementation, evaluation, reporting, and follow-up mentoring.
Results: This training was engaging for the students and beneficial, as participants gained new skills and knowledge about kur rope creative techniques for producing various products. Participants were generally enthusiastic and engaged in both theory and practice. The products produced from this activity include key chains, bracelets, and syringe cords. Given that the students are of varying ages and abilities, this training does not require them to master all the skills perfectly; instead, they are focused on understanding the handicraft-making process. The training is expected to inspire adult students to become entrepreneurs.
